The G.J. Gardner Homes Whitianga Run Fest returns to Whitianga on Saturday 5 June 2027, bringing flat, fast, and scenic coastal running to the heart of the Coromandel over King’s Birthday weekend.

Set along Whitianga’s stunning coastline, this popular annual event offers a welcoming, feel-good atmosphere for runners and walkers of all abilities. With single-lap, waterside courses the Run Fest is designed to be enjoyed at your own pace - whether you’re chasing a personal best, tackling your first event, or soaking up the scenery with friends and family.

The 2026 edition sees the return of the much-loved original Whitianga course, showcasing classic coastal charm, smooth pathways, and a vibrant finish-line experience at Buffalo Beach.
