Awildian Gin - Coromandel Distilling Company

Awildian is an award-winning micro-distillery based in Thames, crafting premium small-batch gin inspired by the wild landscapes of the Coromandel.

Founded by scientists Paul Schneider and Daniela Suess, Awildian began as an experiment in a tiny coastal distillery and has grown into a globally recognised brand, earning more than a dozen national and international awards. Their first prototype gin, The Cuckoo, received a Gold Award at the 2020 New Zealand Spirit Awards, setting the stage for Awildian's success on the world stage.

Drawing inspiration from the ancient magic of the land and sea, Awildian carefully selects botanicals from across the Coromandel, sourcing from local growers and foraging where possible. Water is gathered from the pristine Atuatumoe (Sleeping God) Canyon in the Kauaeranga Valley, helping create a flavour profile that is distinctly connected to place.
