The Coromandel Brewing Company

As the elder statesman of the Coro’ microbreweries, this one was born out of a pommie couple’s love for craft beer and the lack of good drops available when they moved to Matarangi from England.  A hobby brewery in the garage was cranked up to produce more commercially viable quantities (to fund the beery hobby), and now, less than 10 years later, The Coromandel Brewing Company sits in a fine custom-built establishment right in the village centre of Hahei. Now includes the Pour House, a restaurant with a great garden bar and firepit.

Hang out in Hahei with the locals and wash down a delicious pizza with a drop of The Dark Side (like it says), Easy Rider (Pale Ale), Good as Gold (pilsner style), Hahei Doctor, Munted Monk (Belgian style) ……or one of many other frosties.

Coromandel Brewing Co craft beers are available around Hauraki Coromandel.

Coromandel Town Supply Brewery

Opened in January 2025, Coromandel Town Supply Brewery is the newest addition to the Coromandel’s vibrant craft beer scene. Tucked in the heart of Coromandel Town, this locally owned brewery offers more than just great beer—it’s a place to gather, taste, and connect. Visitors can enjoy a rotating selection of small-batch brews in the relaxed tasting room, learn about the brewing process up close, and make the most of the refillery—where you can take home your favourite fresh pour in an eco-friendly way. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just curious, it’s well worth a stop.

Hot Water Brewing Co

As part of their dream to develop their farm at Whenuakite, former owners Dawn and Don Walker turned an old hay barn into a micro-brewery at their holiday park. Andy and Deborah Horton have recently taken over the park and refurbished the restaurant and brew pub. They source a fine selection of malts from all over the world, then add a variety of NZ and international hops to create an array of tasty beer styles to suit all palates.

If you’re on the way to Hot Water Beach, or you are looking for a tranquil rural setting for a few days R and R, you can’t go past the Hot Water Brewing Company without calling in for a cleansing ale.

The menu includes Kauri Falls Pale Ale, Local's Batch Lager, Golden Steamer Ale, Walkers Porter and more…

Wicked kids’ playground too, everyone is welcome.
